FAQ

The Links below and on the side navigation bar will lead you to sections that are just jam packed with info that you might need someday, like how to register a song to protect your copyright; how to join SOCAN; and even more importantly, how to pay for your recordings.

PERFORMING RIGHTS covers topics and organizations dealing with royalties and other rights issues.

MECHANICAL RIGHTS will talk about reproducing or covering other peoples' songs, with links to the CMRRA and other rights agencies.

COPYRIGHT will give you answers on everything you need to know about protecting your songs, or your band name, and the differences between Copyrights and Trademarks.

FUNDING takes you to sources of financial support, including FACTOR, the Sask. Arts Board, VideoFACT, and various government institutions that claim to want to help the little people. The FACTOR site has all the application forms for their loan and grant programs.

ADDRESS is just the addresses for the major associations, with no longwinded boring text accompaniment. If you need a more extensive list, visit our Links section.

In the meantime, feed your head. Answer all your frequently asked questions. Except the big one of course. You know the one I mean. Do you eat the red ones last?
